LED Light Treatment

All You Need to Know About LED Light Therapy

We may not think about it every day, but everyone wants to protect their skin, to prevent wrinkles, age spots, and to ensure pores are small. When we’re younger we may not care about what happens 20, 30, or 50 years later. But at the first sign of a line around our eyes or mouth, we wish we could go back in time and tell our 16 year old self to wear sunscreen and to wash our faces every night instead of going to bed with makeup clogging our pores. Well, we haven’t invented a time machine, but we have developed an innovative LED light treatment masque that will visibly improve the appearance of wrinkles, lines, age spots, and reduce the size of our pores. Sound too good to be true? It’s not!

At iderma, we took information about certain wavelengths of LEDs that was developed and researched by NASA and the National Institute of Health and used that technology to create a product that has real benefits for our skin.

How Does LED Light Treatment Work?

LED Light TreatmentLet’s first look at what LED is. A light-emitting diode includes red, blue, yellow, and infrared light. We want to focus on the red light, which stimulates collagen and elastin, as well as the infrared light, which stimulates healing. Both of these wavelengths penetrate deeper into the skin than blue and yellow wavelengths, which allows your skin to receive the full benefits.

It also helps to understand the layers of your skin. The first layer on top is the epidermis, the second layer just below is the dermis, and the third layer below that is the subcutaneous, or fatty layer. When using red and infrared light, the wavelengths are absorbed deep into the subcutaneous layer of your skin. This is the same way that plants absorb light to create energy that allows them to heal and grow.

Our LED light treatment masque uses red LED light at wavelength of 660nm (visible electromagnetic radiation with a wavelength of 660 billionths of a meter). This deep red light will penetrate the skin to stimulate the function of collagen, improve blood flow and circulation, and build and strengthen the cells. If you struggle with inflammation, the red light will target oil glands to reduce the redness. LED light treatment is also used to:

  • Reduce wrinkles and fine lines
  • Treat hair loss
  • Treat skin issues like eczema and acne
  • Promote healing of wounds
  • Reverse sun damage

How Do You Use It?

Iderma’s LED light treatment masque simply rests on your head and covers your face. With more than 100 LED bulbs, the light reaches your entire face so there’s no need to worry about the sides of your face not benefiting from the masque. Use the masque for eight minutes per session and three sessions per week. This short amount of time will allow the light to penetrate the skin to stimulate the cells. You can start to see results in as little as four weeks, and you’ll notice bigger improvements up to 12 weeks and beyond.

Unlike many skin care products on the market, LED treatment therapy is easy to use and won’t cause any irritation if you struggle with sensitive skin. Many creams or serums simply sit on the surface of your skin and won’t penetrate the layers where the real stimulation occurs. The creams can also leave your skin with an oily or greasy feeling. With the iderma masque, you simply let the light do its thing and you can go on with your day.

Is it Safe?

Yes! There are no side effects to our LED light treatment therapy. We provide goggles that will protect your eyes and the masque is comfortable on your head. All you need to do is sit back, relax, and let the warmth of the light heal and rejuvenate your skin.

If you are seeing the signs of aging, don’t spend any more money on products that don’t offer real results. Deep wrinkles, dark age spots, and enlarged pores are a thing of the past. Within 12 weeks, you can experience more youthful skin and friends and family will be commenting on how well your skin looks! Order your LED light treatment masque today and start healing your skin.
